Sunday School Stories

We always have the converstation after church of what we learned about in Sunday School....Seth asked what I learned and this is the rest of the conversation...

Seth - So what did you learn about today mom?

Me- We learned about Abraham and Sarah and their son Isaac...how God asked Abraham to take Isaac up on the mountain and sacrifice him....(enter confused look) kinda like if God asked daddy to take you up on a mountain and sacrifice you (aren't I terrible)

It's real quiet now....

Seth - But that wouldn't happen would it??

Me - No...we'll I guess it could....I don't know.

Seth - You're just teasin', aren't you??

I bet that's one bible story he won't forget! Poor little guy!

Snow Days

Darn! I was sure hoping for a snow day today!! I watched the school closings all evening and woke up early to look at them again....nothing! At least we weren't the only school around here that had to go! I know, I know, I will be glad come May that we went today.

Awwwh

Tonight Seth asked me if he could have a soda and I told him later. Then our conversation went like this....

Seth - "You know what I need"?
Me - "What"? (Thinking he was putting in a snack order"!)
Seth - "A hug"!

And with that he came running over and gave me the biggest hug!!

All together now..... "awwwwwh"!!

Mixed Up

It was nice to not have to get up and get Seth off to school today! Now the problem is that I keep thinking today is Saturday! A little bit ago I found myself picking out what I was wearing to church "tomorrow"!! I sure hope I don't get up, get ready and head for church in the morning!!

Sixteen Years?!?

I'm not really sure where the time has gone...but today we celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary! I'm not sure I feel old enough to be married that long!! Thank you Jesus for Nick...I don't know what I did to deserve him....I hope we have many more years together!

School Closing

The sounds "Thank You Lord! Thank You Lord!" could be heard a mile away when Seth saw "Roxana C U District 1" on the school closing list!

I think I did a little shout myself!! No alarm setting tonight!!

Boys

I love having a little boy! Seth had been to a birthday party and his "treat bag" was still sitting on the snack bar when we were leaving for school the next day. Believing that every ride to school is a little better if you have a piece of chocolate to eat on the way, I didn't say anything while he was digging thru the bag thinking that he would bring one of those snack size candy bar with him. I went on out to the car and here he came....not carrying a candy bar....but the rubber lizard! Ya gotta love 'em!
