Wasting Time

I think I have mastered this art....the art of wasting time! I have so much to do, but here I sit at the computer! I keep saying I can do it tomorrow....but will I?? I did put Seth's Christmas tree up last night! You would think I would learn....don't say that you "might" do something unless you really intend to do it because a seven year old thinks that "might" means "we're going to RIGHT NOW"! Anyway...it's up, he decorated it and he is so proud!

What a tough holiday season for Melba and Mr. Wendle and their family.....please let them know that we will be praying for them! Wow! There are no words.....

I'm Back....

Well, I finally decided to try to get back on here.....I really haven't had much to say...nothing too eventful happenin'....and just really wasn't sure that you guys were reading....so I just kinda got out of the mood!! Hopefully, I will try to get going on it again...holidays are probably not a good time to try to start!!!

Thanksgiving is coming.....lots to be thankful for!! Family! Can't wait to see Cindi and Dylan...wish you were coming Suzie....glad that we live right here, smack in the middle of both sets of parents! Health! Isn't our family fortunate? Stress tests, biopsies and colonoscopies that come back good? I guess I could go on and on because we do have LOTS to be thankful for but those seem to be two of the really important ones that are popping in my head right now.

Well, I guess I better get busy....I have spent a day shopping in Old St. Charles with the ladies from church....Nick will be home from work in about a half hour and I'm looking forward to just relaxing and getting to bed early!

A Quick Note....

Hey everyone! I haven't blogged for several days so I thought that I would try to catch everyone up on things going on here. Not a whole happened thru the weekend. Helen was in town so we went to eat with her, mom and dad. Sunday they came over to the house for a little more visiting. It was good to see her. Seth has still been fighting his cough or "whatever" it is, but went to school yesterday and today....well, today at about 1:00 the school nurse called me and said she had Seth in her office. He was freezing, his oxygen level was at 91% and she heard some rattling in his chest....oh, and he was blue around the mouth! She said to come get his and she thought he needed to see the doctor. So, Nick went and picked him up (thank goodness he was home!) and I jumped in the shower. We took him to the dr....and two hours later, x-rays, and a breathing treatment, they sent us home and said he has a little bit of pnemonia....they sent a breathing treatment home with us for him to take about three times a day, and a potent antibiotic. He's asleep now. Poor little guy...he was so pitiful there. Now we are worried because his party is this Saturday!! We hope he will be much better by then!! The dr said to definately keep him home tomorrow and see what happens for Thursday. In the meantime, Nick is getting ready to start drinking his little "cocktail" for his colonoscopy tomorrow. I know he is hungry....he's not ate all day and he is one that eats off and on all day!! Well, I guess I better go....love to you all!

Weekend Is Here!

Sorry I didn't post yesterday....no reason...just didn't do it! Actually, when I think about, I was gone all day. I had to be at the school at 1 (which I was a little late) and help pass out the fundraiser merchandise. It was me and one other girl. It's nice to have "working moms" on the pto, but then we don't have any pto members available during the day to help with anything else! It's getting quite frustrating. I was there until almost 4:30 and Seth missed TKD. I wasn't thrilled. Tonight is a Family Game Night at school, and I guess I have to help with that. I don't like that they do so much in the evenings....once school is out, I don't want to have to go back until the next morning!! Seth wants to go, so I guess we will make the best of it. Seth had his first "RSVP" last night for his party! He's so excited! I think I am going to run to Target and possibly Lowe's. I still haven't bought any mums. I also want to stop at The Alton Exchange and see if I can get a new magnet for my yard stake.....so much to do....so little time! Good luck Suz on teaching your class! Cindi have fun this weekend! I know you're excited!

Halloween and Blood Pressure

I was going to try to get on here earlier but thought I would wait. I just went and picked up Seth from school, and Nick is getting a haircut. I have not done a whole lot today...and Nick has just worked on stuff for Seth's halloween party! I'm not sure who is more excited! Last night at Home Depot we bought a six foot skelton (that now graces my living room!) and also a Grim Reaper hanging in a cage! Of course they both make noise and of course I have jumped I don't know how many times when I have walked past the living room...forgetting it's just the skelton and not a real person!! I always thought we would never go all out for halloween...just dress up in funny, goofy stuff...nothing scary! But with halloween being Nick's favorite holiday and Seth following in his footsteps....I just decided to embrace it! Why not?? I have to admit, I'm kinda excited about it too!!! Cindi, what did you find out at the health fair that your work was having? How was your blood pressure? The time I checked, mine was 114 over 74! So the medicine is working. I just wonder how it knows to stop dropping??? They say the medicine is hard to get off once you're on it, but I hope to defy those odds!! I like blogging this way, but are you guys interested at all in setting up your own so you can put pictures of your own on it? it doesn't matter to me what you all want to do. It really doesn't take any time at all. What took me the longest was coming up with "Mormino Moments'! Other than that...it's a piece of cake! Guess I will go for now....love to all!

No Title....

I thought it was going to be easier posting on here everyday! It's kinda hard to do when nothing really interesting is going on!! Anyway, I thought I would go ahead and post real quick before we get comfy for the evening! Like I said, not too much exciting happened today. Our trees came today! So now we have THREE trees in the backyard! I can't wait for them to grow and provide lots of shade for us! Maybe then we will use our patio more! I will try to take some pictures on post them for you to see!

Well, guess I will get off for now....if anything exciting happens in the next few hours, I just may put out another post!!! :-)

I'm So Excited!

I'm so excited!! You all are posting!! Now, we just need to get dad in here!! It's already noon and I just did have my shower! I still need to put my makeup on...ugh! I did walk today...not quite five miles...so at least I have done sommmething! I planned on going and buying some mums today, but I'm not sure I am going to have time. I still need to run to the grocery store. Tonight is BUNCO! Pray that I win!! Last month I won "Most Wins" and "Most Bunco", but they would only let me claim one prize...still it was $20!! Maybe, Suzie, you should tell Blythie to pray...I think she did last month for me!! :-) Seth went back to school today. He said he felt fine, but actually had a low grade temp. I didn't know what to do! He doesn't act sick...he's not coughing as bad today as he was yesterday....kinda a little stuffy though. We'll see how he is tonight. Yesterday was the church property blessing....we didn't go. I don't think we are going to leave though....just not sure yet. How exciting Suzie to get to be in for the ultrasound!! That would be the best part of that job!! Cindi, can your 90 Minutes be video taped? Would love to have seen it! Well, guys, I better get going....I need to get to the store and get my stuff for Bunco....I think I am making that sausage dip that I"ve made when you all were here. Talk to you all soon! Love yas!

GAME NIGHT!

Well, I now know not to hit...I think it was the tab key, because it posted my title without me typing in my blog!! I think I will be forever learning on here!! Glad to see that mom and Suzie are posting! Now, if we can just get dad and Cindi going on it!! Blythe and Dylan are welcome too! Today was pretty busy...got up and did a little bit of cleaning, and then ran to the store. I didn't want to, but since time was short, I ran to the Supercenter. I am mad everytime I go there! The place is so big and everything I want is on the other side of the store!! And I can never find what I am looking for...and neither can the help!! Suddenly Salad salad's?? Hello?? Who doesn't know what those are?? The girl tried to tell me to look in the frozen food section!!! That was almost as bad as the gal telling me she didn't think they sold peanuts!!! Anyway...I finally found all that I needed or wanted and headed home. Mom and dad came over and ate dinner, Nick left for work, and we broke out the Domino's!! Seth and I even taught them how to play Bunco!! Anyway, it was a fun night and I wish everyone could have been here!! Well, I better sign off for now and get Seth to bed....love you all!!

Evan Almighty? That was a good movie! We watched We Are Marshall the other night. That was a good movie too....Seth doesn't want to play college football now...."because you have to fly and he doesn't want to die"!!

IT'S FRIDAY!

WooHoo! It's Friday!! What all are you guys going to do?? We went ahead and kept Seth home today too...I figure what's one more day and this way he can have all weekend to recoop! Tonight is his Awards Ceremony for Upward and we plan to go to that. Hopefully it won't last too late! And hopefully Seth won't go into a coughin' spell!! I just hate that look...."oh, your kid is sick and you have him out"?? I give them much better than I receive them!! haha Our weather has been PERFECT the last couple of days!! Today is kinda cloudy, but nonetheless, I LOVE IT!! Break out those sweats!!! Nick starts midnights tomorrow night (should have tonight but took off for Awards). We may skip church Sunday....Sunday School topic is "Disciplined Giving"!! I'm sure it will spill over into the sermon too. Not sure what we will do yet.....may use Seth having been sick as an excuse...we'll see!!

Well, hopefully I am not talking to myself....that you all will READ THIS AND COMMENT....it is an interactive blog, ya know!!

Better Get Busy!

Okay, I think I am going to quit trying to play with this thing and head to the shower! I am trying to figure out to put a slide show on it...I think I have to download something else and I'm not sure I want to do that! Anyway....Seth is home yet another day, so I am going to run down and pick up his homework soon so he won't have so much to do come Monday....I think we will probably keep him home tomorrow too, since it's Friday. Tonight is Pizza Night for the school, so will probably order...yeah!! Hopefully I can get my house cleaned and laundry started!

Obsessed!

Okay...I admit it! This blog has got me totally consumed! Every time I get on here now, I pull it up and play with it to see how I can change it!! I went to sleep thinking about it and woke up thinking I had better get down here and check it out!! I'm sure it will wear off soon! I hope you all check on it often (I know probably not as often as I would like! ) because I do plan to post on it....hmmm....maybe twice daily....depending I guess what's going on.

Are you interested in posting on it? Or do you just want to go to the "comments" section? I just thought this would be a fun way to keep tabs on everyone. It's nice to talk on the phone, but we probably skip the little details that we would be able to share in this. Let me know what you think!

Getting Started.....

Well, here I go....I thought I would try to "blog" and possibly keep you up to date with all the happenings at our house and even post some pictures!! I hope that you all will get into it too and maybe it will seem as though we are right next door!! It may take a little while to get all the kinks ironed out so bare with me! I'm not very computer savvy! Well, I'm not going to write anymore right now...I don't know that it's going to work and I would sure hate to spend too much time for nothing!!!
